Hélène Brunet

Soot, graphite powder and mix

Hélène Brunet has been painting since 1971. Her work is constantly evolving and includes ingenious technical refinements. Beginning in 1981, she worked in water colour, acrylic, and collage. In 2014 she discovered graphite powder and her unique way of using it won her several awards in the 2016 and 2017 magazine "Drawing".

Two years later, another discovery: smoke/soot. This new means of artistic expression aroused in her the desire to explore another way of painting her favorite subjects, which are landscape, flowers, animals and the abstract. For Hélène, painting is a moment of relaxation and pure happiness.
