Anne-Sylvie Dunand
Textile arts - Embroidery on paper, fabric, rust
Order and chaos have always been part of my life. I need both to function, to create, to live harmoniously.
With Sashiko dots and Black Work dots, synonymous with order and organization, I mainly work on acrylic wallpaper in a chaotic and spontaneous way by reusing used materials (threads, fabrics, frames). , beads bought mainly at PR-RP in Abercorn), I make my papier-mâché with egg cartons or protective cardboard boxes that I dye with acrylics recovered from garage sales.
It is a work on the repetitive gesture combined with memory, time, serenity.
