Landscapes in various media

I paint landscapes (from ground level and from above), in oil, watercolour and acrylic. Landscape, as subject matter, is mute, and is as good a way as any to make art about “nothing”: Landscape provides an armature upon which I can hang colour and form. The challenge is to resolve the contradiction between the picture that I imagined and the one that appears, little by little, beneath my brush.
