Painting, watercolour and oils
Inspired daily by the beauty of Vale Perkins, a lovely valley nestled between two mountains and a lake, I am a Swiss/Canadian who paints flora, fauna, landscapes and portraits in watercolour, acrylic and oils.
I work in what was once a beloved bakery (Perkins Bakery) and in the winter I can see tiny skiers shooting down Owl’s Head runs. In all seasons the foxes, deers, turkeys, raccoons plus the long horned cattle, sheep, goats and llamas living in the adjacent farms I see find themselves reappearing on my wood canvases (along with our own cats + handsome dog. )
I studied painting at Emily Carr University of Art and Design Vancouver, photography at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, film at Concordia University, Montreal and watercolour at the Visual Arts Centre, Montreal.
